Senior Account Director - Comms Agency - Central London - to £55k + bonus

Excellent, 60+ person award-winning, strategic comms agency requires a Senior Account Director to work across two very different pieces of business - one FMCG, one telecoms.

The agency are set up to help clients navigate the often complex journey from brand awareness to making a sale.  They call it thought to bought and they are on a mission to redefine the way agencies and clients work together.  

The agency provide a full range of marketing services for their clients, including shopper marketing, consumer promotions, digital services, experiential and trade marketing.

The agency won a place on one of these clients Shopper Marketing roster 16 months ago and have now gained lead agency status.

The work scope varies from:

  • Creating brand campaigns
  • Category captain recommendations (including sell-in to trade customers)
  • Shopper marketing (consumer journey from out of store, into store, to category, to brand. These include providing retailer tailor mades for all key multiples)
  • Cash & Carry/Independent retailer incentive programmes, promotions and POS kits
  • Recommending on/off pack value offers (Try Me Free, MBG, links with publications)
  • Sampling campaigns

The agency are retained to work on a third-party partnership programme for the telecoms account.  There will also be an element of new business in the role, supporting the New Business Director working on and presenting at pitches.

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:

  • - A breadth of marketing experience, preferably with exposure to a number of disciplines, but with a solid BTL heritage.
  • - Excellent Shopper Marketing knowledge
  • o consumer and shopper journey
  • o instore POS / media opportunities
  • - Promotions - on pack, online, mobile, value (try me free), fixed fee.
  • - Senior level account handling servicing FMCG and retail clients who demand insight driven solutions and need to be challenged at times.
  • - Managed individuals and contributed to their development.
  • - Worked within a multi-agency team, confident to present and provide input / opinion at meetings.
  • - Developed pieces of business into new areas of opportunity for the agency.
  • - Worked across various new business pitches.
  • - Strong financial management (internally and client side).
  • - Previously run a profitable and significant piece of business (over 700K revenue).
  • - At least one year in the role of Senior Account Director.
  • - Experience and a foreign language would also be very handy though not essential

You will report into a Board Account Director and have Account Manager and Senior Account Manager support. You will also work closely with the Shopper Marketing Planner.
