Hints on writing your CV
Your CV will 'sell' you to any prospective employer, so take the time to get it right.
- Keep it simple and focused
- Make sure it's no longer than 2-3 pages
- Include a personal profile - this will be the first thing an employer will read. Summing yourself up in a couple of well-chosen sentences can make you stand out from the crowd
- List your most recent experience first, including name of employer, your job title, your responsibilities and most importantly your achievements within each role you've had
- Include your academic background, degree, A levels and GCSEs
- List any additional and relevant professional courses/qualifications you may have
- Adding your personal interests will give an insight into what makes you tick
- And finally check your spelling and grammar very carefully
